Key Points

  1. Only 1 day until NIMS applications open: Between today (6/30) and the NIMS application opening (7/1), complete your Tsukuba eligibility self-assessment and (if necessary) send the pre-confirmation email today.
  2. [Extra task Β· Top priority] Build the interview slides in parallel β€” submit by 7/17 (Fri): The presentation slides used after the document screening cannot wait for the early-August result. Read the reference article and prepare the deck using the designated template, then submit by 7/17.
  3. If you fail the NIMS document screening (early August): You can still apply to Tsukuba independently, but you will not receive NIMS-affiliated benefits. Adjust your Tsukuba preparation intensity accordingly.
  4. Special note for Requirement (6) applicants: The pre-confirmation email is separate from Eligibility Screening (8/25) and should be done earlier. Finish it in July so August can be dedicated to application document preparation.
  5. English test scores must arrive by the deadline: Official score reports for TOEIC / TOEFL / IELTS take 2–4 weeks to issue. If you have not yet taken the test, book it immediately.
